How to use the PDF Page Extractor

    Drop in a PDF. Thumbnails of every page appear.

    Click the pages you want, type ranges such as 2-4, 9, or use a quick select like Odd pages.

    Choose One PDF or One PDF per page, then click Extract pages.

Good to know

  • Ranges work like a print dialog: 1-3, 7 is pages 1, 2, 3 and 7, and 10- runs to the end. Thumbnails and ranges stay in sync.
  • Turn off Keep document order to save pages in the order you picked them, say to move a summary page to the front.
  • Pages are copied as-is, so text stays searchable and links and form fields come along.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from Split PDF?

Split PDF cuts a whole document into several files by ranges or page counts. The extractor picks specific pages, in any order, into one new file or one file per page.

Can I extract from a protected PDF?

If it needs a password to open, unlock it with Protect PDF first. PDFs that only restrict printing or copying can usually be read directly.
